Lennox Head PS vs Yamba Public School.

On a scorching hot Thursday at Saunders Oval, Ballina, the Pythons from Lenox Head Public School faced a tough challenge against Yamba Public School in the PSSA Cricket Knockout North Coast semi-final. The match was highly anticipated, with both teams showcasing their cricketing prowess in a friendly yet competitive atmospher. However, it was Yamba Public School that emerged victorious, defeating Lennox head Public School in a somewhat one-sided encounter.

Yamba Public School opened its innings with determination and skill. They faced some formidable bowling from Lennox head Public School but managed to set a competitive target of 4/129. Highlights from the Python's bowling efforts were a screamer one-handed cath from Cruz F and a sharp chance taken by wicketkeeper Lewis C. Captain Beau G and Taj W took one and two wickets respectively and Jack K bowled well to hlep restrict the flow of runs. They were ably supported in the field by Tex C and Emery M.

In response to Yamba's challenging total, Lennox head Public School's batsmen faced a stern test. The scorching heat added to their woess as they struggled to chase down the target. Unfortunately, they fell well short of the mark. Beau G palyed a classy, and at times aggressive, knock for 30 runs and was well supported by Max P who schored 10. Archie B, Will N, and Harry T looked dangerous at times but unfortunately were unable to reign in the large total.

The players from both teams demonstrated sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the match, which was truly commendable. While Lennox Head Public School may not have won this time, the experience gained from such a competitive match will undoubtedly serve as a valuable learning opportuity for their cricketing journey.

Cricket fans eagerly await the next encounter between these two teams, as the friendly rivalry continues to captivate the community's attention. Congratulations to Yamba Public School for their impressive performance, and best wishes to them for their upcomig NC Final match.
